Singer Vehicle Design has become the name in breathing new life into old Porsches, and with good reason. But Singer proprietor Rob Dickinson wasn’t the first to come up with the concept -- not even close. U.K.-based Autofarm could claim to have given Dickinson a touch of inspiration for his future plans; in fact, there is a dust-covered bottle of champagne in its office, sent by Dickinson himself, with a “thank you” card. With typical English charm and disorganization, nobody remembers what it was for. It could have been a complete car, it could have been a sprocket.
