Sales of the last generation Laguna was so poor that Renault decided to
shelve the nameplate which has been around for 21 years. Replacing it
is Talisman. It's not just a new name, but the new car is considerably
larger and more luxurious. However, what strikes us immediately is the
stylish clothes it wears. Compared with the slightly strange Laguna, it
is a lot more handsome and elegant. Its shoulder line rises gently
above the rear wheel arch like the best Italian designs. The new front
grille, headlight clusters and multi-contour clamshell bonnet are the
best yet
designed by Laurens van den Acker, as are the 19-inch wheels. We have
to see it under natural sunlight to make the final judgment, but from
these official pictures it looks very promising.
