Monterey Car Week Auction Wrap-Up: Over $340 Million in Sales

 Whhen the gavels finally stopped falling, three classic car auctions during this past weekend in Monterey raked in in excess of $340 million. While there were many cars that eclipsed the $1 million mark, six individual lots cracked well over $10 million
The crown for the most lucrative sales total goes to RM Sotheby’s, which raked in an incredible $172.7 million over the course of two days. The auction block saw a fabulous 1964 Ferrari 250 LM bring a whopping $17,600,000, the highest sale from any auction house of the weekend. The 250 LM was a part of RM Sotheby’s Pinnacle Portfolio, which was advertised as the “most valuable single collection of motor cars ever presented at auction.
